TORONTO (WMDJ) — The Cincinnati Reds evened their final series of the season Saturday afternoon, defeating the Toronto Blue Jays 5-1 at Rogers Centre.

JJ Bleday opened the scoring with his 24th home run of the season in the second inning. Cincinnati added two runs in the third and two more in the fifth to build a 5-0 advantage.

Héctor Rodríguez finished with two hits and drove in two runs, while Eugenio Suárez added an RBI. Carlos Jorge reached base three times with a hit and two walks.

Reds starter Rhett Lowder delivered six scoreless innings, allowing just three hits and two walks while earning his seventh win of the season.

Toronto’s only run came in the seventh inning on an Andrés Giménez RBI groundout. Cincinnati’s bullpen allowed just two hits over the final three innings.

The Reds improve to 75-86 and will close out the 2026 season Sunday afternoon in Toronto. First pitch is scheduled for 3:07 p.m., with pregame coverage beginning at 2:37 p.m. on WMDJ FM 100.
