EASTERN, Ky. (WMDJ) — Floyd County Schools announced Wednesday night that both Prestonsburg and Betsy Layne came away with team championships in the Floyd County District Golf Tournament.

Prestonsburg High School won the boys’ team title, with Floyd Central finishing as runner-up. Prestonsburg’s Coby Tucker claimed the boys’ individual championship, while Connor Tucker finished second.

In the girls’ division, Betsy Layne High School won the team championship, with Prestonsburg finishing as runner-up.

Betsy Layne’s Karleigh Caudill captured the girls’ individual title, while Prestonsburg’s Candace Allen finished as runner-up.
