Two Pike County Women Indicted in Nearly $17,000 Medicaid Fraud Case

PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WMDJ) — Two Pike County women have been indicted in connection with an alleged Medicaid fraud scheme involving nearly $17,000.

The Kentucky Attorney General’s Office says a Pike County grand jury indicted Delphia Taylor, 44, and Samantha Scott, 63, both of Mouthcard, on Sept. 9.

Each is charged with one count of devising or engaging in a scheme to defraud the Kentucky Medical Assistance Program of $1,000 or more.

Prosecutors allege the scheme resulted in a loss of nearly $17,000.

The case was investigated by the Kentucky Attorney General’s Office of Medicaid Fraud and Abuse Control.

An indictment is an accusation, and the charges against Taylor and Scott have not been proven in court.
