CINCINNATI, Oh. (WMDJ) — The Cincinnati Reds closed out their homestand with a 12-8 victory over the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday, taking the series from the first-place team in the NL Central.

Cincinnati jumped ahead 4-0 before Milwaukee rallied to tie the game at six in the fifth. The Reds immediately answered, with Elly De La Cruz delivering a two-run double before Tyler Stephenson added an RBI single to make it 9-6. De La Cruz also blasted a two-run homer in the fourth and finished with four RBIs.

The Reds added three insurance runs in the eighth before Milwaukee scored once in the ninth for the final margin.

Cincinnati now heads west to face the Los Angeles Dodgers Monday night. First pitch is set for 9:10 p.m., with pregame coverage beginning at 8:40 p.m. on WMDJ FM 100.1. MLB also lists the game for 9:10 p.m. ET.
