PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WMDJ) — Floyd Central made school history Friday night, dominating Pike County Central 46-8 on the road for the Jaguars’ first-ever victory over the Hawks.
The Jaguars controlled the WMDJ Game of the Week presented by Appalachian Wireless behind a record-setting performance from Ethan Curry.
Curry unofficially finished with 22 carries for 240 yards and four touchdowns. His four touchdowns tied a Floyd Central single-game record, while his 240 rushing yards established a new school mark. Curry also set a new school record for points scored in a single game.
Quarterback Ketrin Mays added to the Jaguars’ attack, completing 6 of 11 passes for 73 yards and a touchdown while also rushing for a score. Austin Meade caught three passes for 45 yards and a touchdown.
For his historic performance, Ethan Curry was named the Community Trust Bank Player of the Game.
