LEXINGTON, Ky. (WMDJ) — For nearly three decades, Kentucky high school sports fans have relied on the Riherds/KHSAA Scoreboard to follow scores and results from across the state. Beginning with the 2026-27 school year, that familiar system is changing.

The Kentucky High School Athletic Association has launched a new scoreboard at khsaascoreboard.org, powered by Arbiter and integrated with the KHSAA360 system already used by member schools.

The new site allows users to browse schedules and scores by sport, school and date, while individual ArbiterLive school pages will provide additional information including rosters, schedules, coaches, results, statistics and, when provided by schools, ticketing and streaming links.

KHSAA officials say the system remains a work in progress, with additional mobile improvements and features planned throughout the fall.

Statistics will also roll out gradually. Team statistics will appear on individual ArbiterLive pages after games are played, scores are reported and school representatives enter the information. Statewide statistical leaders are expected after the fourth week of each sport’s regular season, with RPI and rankings scheduled to follow after Week 5.

The longtime Riherds/KHSAA Scoreboard is not going away. A link to the legacy scoreboard will remain available through the new site, preserving scores and information from previous seasons as an archive. However, no new information will be added to the old system.

The transition follows the retirement of longtime scoreboard developer Frank Riherd Jr., whose final day working with KHSAA was June 30. Riherd, who was diagnosed with ALS late last year, had previously told the association he planned to reduce his time commitment.

KHSAA officials have credited Riherd with creating a resource that became a fixture for generations of Kentucky athletes, coaches, administrators, fans and media members.

The new system will now serve as the primary home for Kentucky high school scores and statistics going forward.
