SEATTLE, Wash. (WMDJ) — The Cincinnati Reds evened their three-game series with the Seattle Mariners on Tuesday night, defeating Seattle 4-2 at T-Mobile Park.

Elly De La Cruz wasted no time putting the Reds on the board, launching a leadoff home run in the first inning, his 17th of the season. Eugenio Suárez added to the lead with a solo homer in the fourth before Nathaniel Lowe gave Cincinnati an insurance run with a solo shot in the ninth.

Chase Burns improved to 12-1 after allowing just three hits over five scoreless innings while striking out six. The Reds' bullpen made things interesting late, surrendering solo home runs to Weston Wilson in the seventh and Julio Rodríguez in the eighth but, Emilio Pagán retired the side in the ninth for his eighth save.

Despite collecting only five hits, Cincinnati made the most of its offense, with De La Cruz, Suárez and Lowe all homering. Sal Stewart drove in the Reds' other run with a sacrifice fly in the fifth.

The win snaps Cincinnati's brief two-game skid and evens the series at one game apiece.
