EASTERN, Ky. (WMDJ) — Floyd Central used a 22-6 third quarter scoring advantage to pull away from Prestonsburg Tuesday, advancing to the 58th District Tournament finals with a 70-38 win.
The Jaguars got two double-doubles in what was their 10th win in their last 11 games. Senior Chris Spriggs scored a game-high 21 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, and was named Community Trust Bank Player of the Game. Freshman Lucas Howard registered 14 points and 12 rebounds, and sophomore Brayden Turner also scored in double figures with 11.
Prestonsburg was led by senior Taegan Slone, who scored 20 points.
