ATLANTA (WMDJ) - On Wednesday, the Atlanta Braves claimed Reds outfielder Jake Fraley from waivers. Fraley was designated for assignment on August 17th, after spending four seasons in Cincinnati after being acquired via a trade with Seattle.
Fraley was hitting .232 with six home runs and 23 runs batted in over 193 plate appearances this season. His place in the Reds lineup was diminished with the acquisition of Miguel Andujar at the trade dealine from Oakland.
Andujar is hitting .359 with three homers and nine runs batted in over 44 plate appearances and 13 games as a Red.
