CINCINNATI (WMDJ) - The fastest man in baseball is heading to his first All-Star game. 

Reds Shortstop Elly De La Cruz is headed to Arlington for next week’s MLB All-Star game.

De La Cruz was one of 10 position players chosen by the Player Ballot and will be the lone representative at the Mid-Summer Classic from Cincinnati.

De La Cruz leads all of baseball with 43 stolen bases and leads the National League in triples. 

MLB All-Star Week includes the MLB All-Star Game presented by Mastercard (July 16^th), Gatorade All-Star Workout Day featuring the T-Mobile Home Run Derby (July 15^th), All-Star Saturday featuring the All-Star Futures Game and the All-Star Celebrity Softball Game presented by Corona (July 13^th), the MLB Draft presented by Nike (July 14^th-16^th), the HBCU Swingman Classic presented by T-Mobile (July 12^th), and Capital One All-Star Village (July 13^th-16^th)
