EASTERN, Ky. (WMDJ) - The Floyd Central Jaguars (10-12) will host another 14th region opponent on Tuesday as the Knott County Central Patriots will attempt to stop Floyd Central's recent success against 14th region foes.

Following the Jaguars' win over Breathitt County 83-78 on Saturday night, Floyd Central is (16-12) all-time vs. 14th region competition, winning 5 of their last 7 games in those matchups. 

The Jaguars got a double-double effort from sophomore point guard Chris Spriggs as he dropped 14 points on (5-8) shooting and dished 12 assists while swiping five steals in the win. Senior Braden Moore pumped in 21 points and led all Jags in scoring, followed by sophomore Dylan Boyd tossing in 20 points. Seniors Ronnie Samons and Brody Buck enjoyed 19 and 11 point performances respectfully.

Floyd Central is (3-3) all-time vs. Knott County Central, winning their last two matchups against the Patriots, which were throwback games. The Jaguars morphed into the Wayland Wasps in a pair of wins over the Hindman Yellowjackets in games played at Hindman Gym and Wayland Gym last season.
