LEXINGTON, Ky. (WMDJ) - An Eastern Kentucky music duo has earned a place in the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame.
Sundy Best, made up of Floyd County natives Nicholas Jamerson and Kris Bentley, was inducted Saturday, October 24, during a ceremony at The Campbell House in Lexington.
Formed in 2010, the duo built a loyal following with a sound blending country, rock, folk and Appalachian music. Their albums include Door Without a Screen, Bring Up the Sun and Salvation City.
Known for their independent approach to the music industry, Jamerson and Bentley have performed at venues ranging from small Kentucky stages to the Grand Ole Opry.
Sundy Best was among seven inductees in the Class of 2026, joining musicians and songwriters including Darrell Scott, Charlie Gearheart and Chris Kael of Five Finger Death Punch.
Memorabilia from the duo is now on display at the Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Mount Vernon, near Renfro Valley.
The museum recognizes artists and industry figures who have made lasting contributions to Kentucky's musical heritage.
