WHITESBURG, Ky. (WMDJ) — A Hindman man was killed Sunday morning in a two-vehicle crash along KY 15 in Letcher County.

According to Kentucky State Police, 34-year-old Travis Thomas was traveling north in a Dodge Ram shortly before 11 a.m. when his truck struck the rear of a Ford F-150, pushing the Ford into the southbound lane.

Following the collision, Thomas' truck struck a guardrail, left the roadway and came to rest down an embankment.

Thomas was pronounced dead at the scene by the Letcher County Coroner's Office.

State police say no autopsy was scheduled, and toxicology results are pending.

The crash remains under investigation by Kentucky State Police Post 13 in Hazard.
