PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WMDJ) — A Pike County man is facing multiple charges after Pikeville Police say he pointed a loaded gun at people and fired a shot across a downtown street.

According to a police citation, 20-year-old Jayden Jackson, of Canada, allegedly pointed a loaded firearm at others on Caroline Avenue before firing a live round, creating what police described as a substantial danger of serious physical injury.

Police also allege Jackson had taken the loaded firearm into an establishment where alcoholic beverages were sold and was under the influence of alcohol. 

Jackson was arrested on charges including first-degree wanton endangerment, menacing, alcohol intoxication in a public place, first-degree disorderly conduct, possession of a loaded firearm in a room where alcoholic beverages are sold, and discharging a firearm across a public road. 

Police are reviewing video evidence as the investigation continues.
