PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WMDJ) — A public listening session focused on Medicaid will be held next week in Prestonsburg.
“Medicaid Reality Check: A Health Care Listening Tour” will stop at Gearheart Auditorium on the campus of Big Sandy Community and Technical College on Thursday, Sept. 17, from 6 to 7:30 p.m.
The event will give Medicaid recipients, family members, caregivers, health care providers and others an opportunity to share their experiences with lawmakers as changes to the program approach.
The session will include a brief overview of Medicaid and upcoming changes, followed by public comments and a question-and-answer period. Those who are unable to speak during the event will have an opportunity to submit comments in writing.
The event is free and open to the public.
