ARH, Pikeville Medical Center Included in New $18 Million FEMA Funding Round

FRANKFORT, Ky. (WMDJ) — Gov. Andy Beshear announced today that Appalachian Regional Healthcare and Pikeville Medical Center are among 10 Kentucky hospitals receiving funding through an additional $18 million in FEMA disaster reimbursements.

 

The funding covers expenses hospitals incurred during the COVID-19 pandemic. Other recipients include AdventHealth Manchester, Baptist Health, Flaget Memorial Hospital, Norton Hospital, Saint Joseph Hospital, T.J. Samson Community Hospital, the University of Kentucky and UofL Health.

 

Individual amounts for the latest round were not announced.

 

The new funding follows more than $105 million in FEMA reimbursements announced in May for six hospitals and Kentucky Emergency Management.

 

During that round, ARH received nearly $22.95 million, while Pikeville Medical Center received approximately $1.45 million.
