BELFRY, Ky. (WMDJ) — Two Ohio men are facing drug trafficking charges after a Kentucky State Police investigation led to a traffic stop and the seizure of suspected methamphetamine and fentanyl in Pike County.

KSP says its Post 9 Street Crimes Unit developed information that a Ford Edge was being used to transport illegal drugs into Pike County. Troopers stopped the vehicle Wednesday in the Belfry community and allegedly found about 130 grams of suspected methamphetamine in the glove box.

Driver Delbert Chambers, 42, and passenger Terrell Wright, 45, were arrested and taken to jail.

KSP says jail staff then found approximately 60 grams of suspected fentanyl and 10 suspected MDMA tablets concealed in a makeshift hole in Chambers’ undergarments.

Chambers faces trafficking charges involving meth, fentanyl and LSD, along with promoting contraband, marijuana and paraphernalia charges. Wright is charged with trafficking meth and failure to wear a seat belt.

Both remain lodged in the Pike County Detention Center.
