PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WMDJ) — A Harold man arrested last week after allegedly fleeing police on a dirt bike is now facing additional charges.

Joshawa “Jagger” Bevins, 21, was taken into custody after Floyd County sheriff’s deputies and Pikeville Police went to his home to question him about a dirt bike reported stolen from McCoy Motorsports.

Police say Bevins fled on the bike, crashed into a vehicle and later ran on foot before Floyd County Sheriff’s K9 Bear tracked him down.

Authorities have since charged Bevins with receiving stolen property and criminal mischief, alleging the dirt bike sustained more than $1,000 in damage.

Police also served Bevins with an unrelated warrant charging him with identity theft and two counts of possession of a forged instrument.

Bevins was already out on bond in separate auto theft and drug cases. His bond has been revoked in the Floyd County drug case, and prosecutors are seeking revocation in the Pike County case.

He remains jailed without bond at the Floyd County Detention Center.
