IVEL, Ky. (WMDJ) — Appalachian Wireless has donated more than $37,000 to Casting for Kids following the company’s annual charity golf scramble.

The company presented a $37,274 contribution raised through the 19th Annual Appalachian Wireless Charity Golf Scramble. Businesses, sponsors, vendors, teams, players and other community partners helped support the fundraiser.

Casting for Kids provides children with special needs and their families an opportunity to enjoy fishing and other activities in an inclusive environment. The event has grown to welcome more than 1,800 children and their families.

Appalachian Wireless employees also volunteered during this year’s Casting for Kids activities, assisting organizers and families throughout the event.

Appalachian Wireless says it is already looking ahead to the 20th year of its charity golf scramble.
