FRANKFORT, Ky. (WMDJ) — Gov. Andy Beshear has appointed a Johnson County educator to fill a vacancy on the county commission and reappointed Floyd County Sheriff John Hunt to a state law enforcement panel.
Keith Patrick of Flat Gap has been appointed commissioner for Johnson County’s Third District. Patrick, an assistant principal at W.R. Castle Elementary School, replaces Tim Salyer, who resigned from the position.
Beshear also reappointed Hunt, of Prestonsburg, to the Kentucky Law Enforcement Council for a term expiring July 1, 2030.
Also reappointed to the council were Rowan County Attorney Cecil Watkins of Morehead, Campbell County Sheriff Michael Jansen of Fort Thomas and Madison County Sheriff William Coyle of Berea. Their terms also expire July 1, 2030.
