DAVID, Ky. (WMDJ) — A bridge on KY 1210 in Floyd County will close later this month while crews make repairs to the concrete bridge deck.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the bridge, located at milepoint 7.73 near the KY 404 junction in David, will close beginning around 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18.
Crews will repair a hole in the bridge deck that is currently covered by a steel plate. Because of the location of the repair and the equipment needed, the bridge will be completely closed to traffic.
The closure is expected to remain in place through Aug. 31. Motorists will need to use an alternate route.
Message boards and temporary signs will be placed in the area. The schedule could change because of weather or other unforeseen conditions.
