PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WMDJ) — Three Floyd County men have been arrested on federal indictments alleging child exploitation offenses following a joint operation involving local and federal law enforcement agencies.
According to the Prestonsburg Police Department, officers on Tuesday, working alongside the FBI, the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force, the Floyd County Sheriff's Office and the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Kentucky, served three federal indictment warrants issued by a federal grand jury.
Authorities said the indictments stem from investigations into allegations involving the sexual exploitation of minors.
Those arrested include:
Bryan Cantrell, 31, of Minnie, who is charged with production of child sexual abuse material and transportation of a minor with intent to produce sexually explicit material for distribution.
Simon Roxas, 23, of Prestonsburg, who is charged with possession of child sexual abuse material.
Andrew Lewis, 40, of Prestonsburg, who is charged with attempting to entice a minor online. Police said Lewis also has pending state charges of first-degree sexual abuse and tampering with physical evidence awaiting action by a Floyd County grand jury.
All three were lodged in the Floyd County Detention Center on U.S. Marshals holds pending their initial appearances in U.S. District Court.
Prestonsburg Police said the FBI has assumed the lead role in the ongoing investigations. Federal charges are allegations, and all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
