SALYERSVILLE, Ky. (WMDJ) — A Salyersville man was killed Monday afternoon while helping set up a mobile home in Magoffin County.
Emergency crews were dispatched just before 3 p.m. to Calvin Cain Trailer Court on Burning Fork after receiving a report of a mobile home accident.
Malcolm Joseph Barry III, 63, was one of four people working to level the mobile home on concrete blocks when one side slipped off the blocks, causing the home to fall onto him.
Barry was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was transported to the Kentucky Medical Examiner's Office in Frankfort for an autopsy.
Authorities found no indication of foul play or mechanical failure. The incident remains under investigation by the Magoffin County Sheriff's Office, the Magoffin County Coroner's Office and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).
