SALYERSVILLE, Ky. (WMDJ) — A Magoffin County man is facing multiple charges after deputies say he became combative while responding to reports he was attempting to enter apartments and a nearby home without permission.
According to an arrest citation, deputies located 52-year-old Timothy Lynn McKenzie on Parkway Drive Tuesday night. He allegedly ignored repeated commands, charged toward a deputy and struggled with law enforcement before being taken into custody.
McKenzie is charged with attempted third-degree burglary, third-degree assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, menacing, public intoxication (controlled substance) and second-degree disorderly conduct.
He was taken to Paintsville ARH for medical clearance before being lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
McKenzie is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
