SALYERSVILLE, Ky. (WMDJ) — A woman was arrested Thursday after Magoffin County deputies found her unresponsive inside a vehicle parked at the BP station along the Mountain Parkway.

According to the Magoffin County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy Tyler Lafferty discovered the woman slumped over in the passenger seat while on patrol. Deputies said it took several verbal attempts to wake her.

The sheriff’s office said the woman admitted to being under the influence of Subutex and Klonopin. During the investigation, deputies recovered several straws, a loaded syringe and one Klonopin pill from her purse.

The woman was arrested and transported to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center. Her name was not released by the sheriff’s office.
