Kimper woman sentenced to 45 years in federal child exploitation case

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WMDJ) — A Kimper woman has been sentenced to 45 years in federal prison after pleading guilty to two counts of producing child sexual abuse material involving two toddler victims.

According to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Kentucky, Pamela Denise Sargent, 45, was sentenced Thursday by U.S. District Judge Karen Caldwell.

Federal prosecutors said the offenses occurred between late December 2023 and June 2024. Court records state Sargent created videos depicting the sexual exploitation of two toddler victims and distributed the material over the internet to an individual in Missouri.

The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations, the Kentucky State Police and the Madison County Sheriff's Office. It was prosecuted by the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of Kentucky.
