PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WMDJ) — A Pike County woman convicted of second-degree manslaughter in connection with a fatal 2022 crash was sentenced Thursday to five years in prison.
Dusty Ratliff, 48, of Elkhorn City, was sentenced by Pike Circuit Judge Howard Keith Hall after a jury convicted her of second-degree manslaughter last month.
The five-year sentence was half of the 10-year prison term recommended by the jury following Ratliff's conviction.
Ratliff was convicted in connection with a July 2022 crash on Elkhorn Creek Road that resulted in the death of James Kelly.
