PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WMDJ) — A Prestonsburg man is facing multiple charges after his arrest July 5 in connection with an alleged shooting incident that investigators say occurred earlier this year.
According to a Floyd District Court complaint warrant, Julian Medina, 37, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant stemming from an April 1 incident in Prestonsburg.
Court records allege Medina became involved in an argument with another man at Hobert's Pizza before retrieving a firearm and firing shots across Ky. 1428 toward the other individual. The complaint states the shots allegedly placed several people in substantial danger of death or serious physical injury.
Medina is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, menacing, second-degree disorderly conduct and discharging a firearm across a public road.
The arrest citation states Medina was served with the outstanding warrant on July 5. The officer who executed the warrant noted he had no firsthand knowledge of the underlying incident.
The allegations contained in the court records are accusations. Medina is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
