INEZ, Ky. (WMDJ) — A Martin County woman was arrested Sunday night after Kentucky State Police investigated an assault complaint at a home on Little Rockcastle Road in the Inez community.
According to an arrest citation, a woman told troopers that Teri Lynn Sammons, 44, of Lovely, entered the home armed with a handgun and baseball bat, pointed the handgun at her and her father, and struck her foot with the bat.
Troopers reported observing minor injuries on the alleged victim. Investigators searched the home and surrounding property but did not locate the reported handgun or baseball bat.
Sammons was charged with fourth-degree assault (minor injury) and second-degree criminal trespassing. She was lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
