PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WMDJ) — A Pike County couple is facing felony assault charges after police say they attacked another couple in the Walmart parking lot in Pikeville.

According to Pikeville Police, the incident happened around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Investigators say Crystal Davidson, 38, confronted a woman inside the Walmart over allegations of workplace bullying.

Police say Davidson followed the woman and her husband into the parking lot, where surveillance video showed Davidson striking the woman before the two fell to the ground. Officers say Davidson continued hitting the woman until the victim's husband stepped in.

Investigators say Stanley Jason Meyers, 46, then assaulted the husband, punching him several times and continuing the attack after he fell to the ground.

The victims were treated for multiple injuries, including cuts, bruises and a head wound.

Police located Davidson and Meyers at their Zebulon Highway home about 90 minutes later and arrested them.

Both are charged with second-degree assault and are being held in the Pike County Detention Center.
