ASHLAND, Ky. (WMDJ) — Two Magoffin County men are facing federal charges following a recent drug investigation.
Eddie McFarland, 34, of Lakeville, and Anthony Darrell Saylor, 38, of Salyersville, were both indicted on charges of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances and distributing controlled substances.
According to the indictment, McFarland is also charged with using a firearm during a drug trafficking crime. Saylor is additionally charged with possession with intent to distribute.
The case stems from an investigation by the Magoffin County Sheriff’s Office, which included several undercover purchases.
During a search of McFarland’s home last month, deputies reported finding meth, fentanyl, and heroin, along with firearms, methadone, and items associated with drug trafficking.
If convicted, the charges carry possible sentences ranging from five years to life in prison.
No court dates have been announced.
