Pike County man released on reduced bond, ordered to attend treatment

PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WMDJ) — A Pike County man charged earlier this year with possession of child pornography has been released from jail after a judge reduced his bond.

According to court documents, 30-year-old Terry Weston Rogers was released April 22 from the Pike County Detention Center. He had been in custody since February.

The release came after Pike District Judge Robert Wright lowered Rogers’ bond from $250,000 cash to $25,000 surety. The change followed a motion filed by his public advocate.

As part of the order, Rogers must be picked up by Frontier Behavioral Health staff and complete a substance abuse treatment program. He is also prohibited from using social media and must not violate any laws.

Rogers was arrested in February after investigators say he was found in possession of more than 1,000 images depicting a sexual performance by a minor. He was also free on bond in several misdemeanor cases at the time of that arrest.

The case remains ongoing.
