PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WMDJ) — The Floyd County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that human remains have been found near the entrance to Sugarloaf on KY 1428, along the old road between Allen and Prestonsburg.

The individual has not been identified and investigators have not released the gender. 

KY 1428 was closed for a period of time were the remains were discovered but reopened a few hours later.
