MAGOFFIN COUNTY, Ky. (WMDJ) — A Magoffin County man is in custody following a shooting investigation earlier this week.
According to the Magoffin County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and Kentucky State Police arrested Trenton Caudill around 11 p.m. April 9 at a residence in the Old Lick Creek area. Authorities say he was taken into custody without incident on an outstanding warrant.
The warrant stems from a reported shooting on April 8 along Falcon Road. Sheriff Carson Meade responded to the scene and spoke with two victims, who told investigators that Caudill approached their home armed with a .22 caliber firearm.
Officials say Caudill fired approximately 11 rounds through a closed door while both individuals were inside the residence.
One male victim suffered a minor injury after being grazed by a bullet, resulting in a scratch to his arm.
Caudill is charged with second-degree assault and first-degree wanton endangerment.
