Perry County woman charged in child sexual exploitation investigation

HAZARD, Ky. (WMDJ) — A Perry County woman has been charged after a child sexual exploitation investigation by Kentucky State Police.

 

State police said 36-year-old Megan A. Combs was arrested April 6 in Hazard following an undercover investigation. A search warrant was also executed at a residence, where investigators seized equipment believed to have been used in the alleged crime.

 

State police said the arrest followed an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. Investigators said the case began after they discovered the suspect allegedly sharing sexually explicit images involving juveniles online.

 

Combs is charged with four counts of possessing matter portraying a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance. KSP said the charge is a Class D felony, punishable by one to five years in prison.

 

She was lodged in the Kentucky River Regional Detention Center and the investigation is ongoing.
