PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WMDJ) — A former Shelby Valley High School teacher has been arrested following a sealed indictment in Pike County.
Authorities say 35-year-old Zackery Ryan Hill, of Pikeville, was taken into custody Wednesday after arriving at the courthouse and learning there was a warrant for his arrest.
According to court records, Hill is charged with two counts of using a computer to procure a minor for unlawful sexual activity, along with one count of tampering with physical evidence.
Investigators say the charges stem from allegations that Hill contacted two minors for sexual activity in 2023.
Records indicate Hill previously worked as a teacher, coach, bus driver and ACT proctor at Shelby Valley High School before resigning during the investigation.
Hill is being held in the Pike County Detention Center on a $500,000 cash bond.
