BEAVER, Ky. (WMDJ) — Two people have been charged following an assault investigation in Floyd County.
Kentucky State Police say troopers responded to a 911 call Wednesday reporting an assault at a home along Kentucky Route 979 in the Beaver community.
Investigators say the incident involved a physical altercation, during which Jeremy Tackett suffered life-threatening injuries.
As a result of the investigation, 20-year-old Dravin Hamilton, of Floyd County, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault. He is being held in the Floyd County Detention Center.
A 16-year-old juvenile was also charged with second-degree assault and taken to the Breathitt County Juvenile Detention Center.
The investigation is ongoing.
