PERRY COUNTY, Ky. (WMDJ) — Multiple people have been indicted in connection to a March 3 death in Perry County.
According to court documents filed March 27 in Perry Circuit Court, a grand jury returned several indictments tied to the death of Ryan Huff.
Danny Asher was indicted on a charge of complicity to second-degree manslaughter. The indictment alleges he wantonly aided in the assault that led to Huff’s death.
Maranda Conner faces multiple charges, including complicity to second-degree manslaughter, firearm possession by a convicted felon, two counts of tampering with physical evidence, first-degree criminal mischief, second-degree escape and being a persistent felony offender. Court documents allege she helped during the assault and later removed a home incarceration ankle monitor and escaped supervision.
Brian Smith was indicted on a charge of murder, along with firearm possession by a convicted felon, two counts of tampering with physical evidence, first-degree criminal mischief and complicity to second-degree escape. The indictment alleges Smith shot Huff and later disposed of evidence.
Asher and Connor are currently held in the Kentucky River Regional Jail, while Smith remains held in the Leslie County Detention Center.
