MAGOFFIN COUNTY, Ky. (WMDJ) - Authorities in Magoffin County said a large amount of drugs was seized after a search warrant was carried out over the weekend.
According to deputies, the warrant was executed Sunday at a property on Rose Branch Spur in the Lakeville area.
Investigators said they found a large quantity of methamphetamine, fentanyl and heroin. Deputies also reported finding methadone, three firearms, digital scales and packaging materials believed to be connected to drug distribution.
Authorities said the investigation involves multiple people and could lead to federal charges.
Deputies said they are working with federal law enforcement agencies and the U.S. Attorney’s Office to seek federal indictments against those connected to what they described as a drug trafficking operation.
No arrests were listed in the information released.
