Floyd County Schools announced that CeCi Prater of Duff-Allen Central Elementary has been named the Kentucky Association for School Technology (KAST) Impact Teacher of the Year.
The award recognizes PK-12 educators across Kentucky who use technology to improve student learning and classroom engagement.
According to Floyd County Schools, Prater has been recognized for integrating digital tools into daily instruction in ways that support academic growth, creativity and collaboration.
The district said her work has also had an impact beyond her own classroom. School officials said she has helped promote technology use among other educators and has supported instructional practices across the district.
Floyd County Schools said Prater’s leadership, collaboration and focus on innovation helped her stand out for the award.
District officials congratulated Prater on the recognition and praised her continued commitment to student success.
