LOUISA, Ky. (WMDJ) — A Lawrence County man has been arrested following an investigation into child sexual abuse material.

According to Kentucky State Police, troopers with the agency’s Electronic Crime Branch arrested 26-year-old Christopher Alan Price on March 12.

Investigators say the case began after authorities received information that Price had been sharing sexually explicit images of minors online.

Troopers obtained a search warrant for Price’s home in Louisa as part of the investigation.

Following the arrest, police seized a device they say was used to facilitate the alleged crimes.

Price is charged with one count of first-degree sodomy, 25 counts of promoting a minor under the age of 16 in a sexual performance, 20 counts of possessing matter portraying a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance, eight counts of distributing matter portraying a minor under the age of 12 in a sexual performance, and nine counts of sexual crimes committed against an animal.

Price was lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center in Paintsville.
