HUEYSVILLE, Ky. (WMDJ) — Kentucky State Police are investigating the death of a Floyd County woman after she was found unresponsive over the weekend.

Troopers with KSP Post 9 in Pikeville say they were called by Prestonsburg 911 on Saturday, March 7, about an unresponsive female in the Hueysville community.

When troopers and investigators arrived at Mulberry Lane, they located a deceased woman outside near railroad tracks.

The woman was identified as 32-year-old Trishanna Anderson of Garrett. She was pronounced dead at the scene by the Floyd County Coroner’s Office.

Her body was taken to the Kentucky State Medical Examiner’s Office for an autopsy.

The cause of death remains under investigation.

Dectives with Kentucky State Police Post 9 is leading the investigation with assistance from the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office.
