Pamela Denise Sargent, 45, of Kimper, is charged with four counts of producing child pornography. Each charge carries a possible sentence of 15 to 30 years in prison.
The case began during a child exploitation investigation in Missouri. Authorities there arrested a Park Hills man on charges related to possessing and promoting child pornography and sexual exploitation of a minor.
Investigators said the man told police he had received sexually explicit videos from a Kentucky woman and her daughter, whom he believed to be 18 years old.
According to court records, investigators later traced the videos to Sargent.
Sargent had been scheduled to stand trial March 30. However, her attorney recently asked the court to allow her to change her plea, indicating she had reached a plea agreement with federal prosecutors.
A hearing has been scheduled for March 20 in federal court in Lexington.
Sargent is currently being held in the Grayson County Detention Center in Leitchfield.
