PIKE COUNTY, Ky. (WMDJ) — One man has died following a single-vehicle crash in Pike County.

Kentucky State Police say the collision happened around 3:47 p.m. Tuesday on Kentucky Route 197 in the Ashcamp community.

Investigators say Matthew Corbett was driving a white 2020 Ford Transit ambulance owned by Lifeguard Ambulance Service when the vehicle left the roadway and overturned. Douglas Jones was a passenger in the ambulance.

Jones was taken to a nearby hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by KSP accident reconstructionists and were assited on scene by the Millard Volunteer Fire Department and Lifeguard Ambulance Service.
