FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WMDJ) — The Floyd County Fiscal Court has announced two upcoming community meetings focused on preparing for future disasters.
The first meeting will be held Tuesday, Feb. 18, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Eastern District Library.
A second meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 19, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at McDowell First Baptist Church.
County officials say the meetings are intended to give residents an opportunity to share their experiences, concerns, and ideas related to flooding and other emergencies.
Information gathered during the meetings will be used to help guide future disaster planning efforts across Floyd County.
Residents from all areas of the county are encouraged to attend and participate.
