SOUTH WILLIAMSON, KY. (WMDJ) – A vehicle collision involving a pedestrian has claimed the life of a woman in Pike County.

The accident happened on U.S. 119 in South Williamson on Thursday evening around 8:30 p.m.

According to Kentucky State Police, a black Audi A3 was traveling southbound when Meghan Jones, 36, of Williamson, W.Va., was attempting to cross the roadway and was struck by the vehicle. Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.
