PIKEVILLE, Ky. (WMDJ) – A new bear sculpture honors the memory of two Pikeville Police officers.
The new “Buster Bear” was unveiled this week by city officials and the Pikeville Main Street Program, honoring the lives of Officer Scotty Hamilton, who was killed in the line of duty in 2018, and former Police Chief Eugene “Buster” Edmonds, who died on May 25th.
The bear is outfitted in a police uniform, with badge number 111 in honor of Hamilton.
