** UPDATE ** Prestonsburg PD have identified the vehicle and preliminary investigation indicates an elderly person possibly experiencing a medical condition was in operation and unaware he had been involved in a collision. PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (WMDJ) – Prestonsburg City Police are searching for a vehicle that struck two pedestrians, leaving both in critical condition.

Authorities posted a picture on social media Monday afternoon asking for the public’s help in identifying a blackout package 2021 or newer Chevrolet Tahoe missing a passenger’s side mirror. The mirror was recovered at the scene of the incident on KY Route 321 near the Waste Water Treatment plant in Prestonsburg.

The suspect fled the scene after striking the pedestrians.
