FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WMDJ) – The Floyd County Fiscal Court has given $200,000 to the Floyd County Board of Education from the county’s opioid settlement funding to help combat the drug epidemic in the community.
The funds will be used by Floyd County Youth Service Centers to help families make ends meet, whether it’s purchasing food or school supplies or assisting in paying utility bills.
Floyd County is the first to distribute settlement funds to family resource centers.
