GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WMDJ) – A Floyd County Sheriff’s deputy has been named School Resource Officer of the year for Kentucky’s 5th region.
Sergeant/SRO Kevin Shepherd was honored during ceremonies Monday in Georgetown.
"Your dedication, hard work and commitment does not go unnoticed," said Floyd County Sheriff John Hunt. Sgt. Shepherd demostrates, "Great commitment to the safety of our schools and our communities."
Shepherd serves as SRO at Renaissance Learning Center in Martin.
